Finally, managed to finish this today :-)

I wait, giving time for paint to dry.



When I paint on canvas I happen to paint few other "improvised" works on paper and other material. Sometimes they are so spontaneous and loose. I wholeheartedly welcome all of them. Because I never throw them away, I've already got a huge pile of papers, and other painted stuff, not belonging to anywhere. Unnamed. Unidentified painted objects. I never try to judge them as good or bad. Sometimes they take far too longer than the "main" painting to be finished.

A footnote, from September 28, 2007

I should have updated before ....

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. I had to undergo foot surgery again. Yeah it's the same old surgery. And this is the third time but I'm not complaining. Now recovering. Unable to walk much because I got these sutures on the sole of my foot. Sutures will be removed next Saturday.

Been watching cricket when I was not in bed. Nothing much to say. Should get back to work soon.

Here's my newest painting. It took many months, but managed to finish yesterday :)

Started updating my website. It was completely empty and had only one page for more than a year, mainly because I am very bad at maintaining hosting accounts and custom image galleries. Now the entire thing is on Smugmug. Smugmug takes care of most of the tiresome parts. Besides, these galleries look cool enough to me. Very little to worry about. All you got to do is paint, photograph and upload. :)

Had a productive day in the studio, painting. And a couple of paintings are almost complete.

We do get heavy rains these days, with thunder and lightning. Monsoon time. Mosquitoes. Paint dries slowly. Lot of power failures and Internet downtimes. At times it's good to stay disconnected. With little distractions, you get more work done.

It's too dark to take good photos. Will try tomorrow morning.

And I like my floor :)
